Ford Road Bridge Replacement — City of Elyria, Ohio

The City of Elyria will host a public meeting seeking comment on the upcoming Ford Road bridge replacement. Representatives from the City of Elyria, the Ohio Department of Transportation and the project consultant will be present to receive your comments, answer questions and explain the project.

The City of Elyria, in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Transportation, is proposing to replace the existing Ford Road Bridge located in Elyria, OH The bridge has been closed to all traffic since December 8, 2008 due to structural deficiencies! The existing 150-foot long, 18-foot wide one lane bridge would be replaced by a 290-foot long bridge with two, 11-foot wide lanes with 5-foot shoulders on both sides The additional bridge length will eliminate the existing sharp horizontal and vertical curves with a more level and even alignment

When: Thursday November 10, 2011 4:30 — 6:30 PM

Where: Elyria City Hall — 131 Court Street Elyria, OH 44035 Council Chambers - 2nd floor

The meeting will be held in an “open house” format that will allow interested persons to review the project material and talk with representatives on an individual basis, A short presentation will be given around 5:30 PM explaining the project and allowing individual to ask questions and present comment.
