City of Elyria Leaf Collection

Curbside leaf collection for the city of Elyria will begin the week of October 17. All leaves must be raked to the curb by Sunday, December 4th. City crews will make one final collection throughout the city beginning Monday, December 5th.

Only bagged leaves will be collected after the final round of collection. If a measurable snowfall occurs before the collection schedule ends and the trucks are switched over for plowing, leaf pick-up will stop for the year. Residents may bag any remaining leaves and place them at the curb for pick-up on their regular trash collection day.

Why do City services (Leaf and Trash Collection start so early in the day? Some people are still sleeping and I am trying to get to work. Nothing like following a garbage truck's stops on Gulf Rd on Spring Valley Hills when your going to work!
